Taxis are available for those who prefer a little more comfort and convenience, and who have no concerns about the extra cost.

Services begin or terminate at either the Europa or Laganside bus stations. Nightlink services run from the city centre to a total of eight different destinations, with the last service leaving at 02:00.

Taxis

Taxis operating on metered fare systems can be found easily in and around the city of Belfast and are available to hail from the kerb-side or from ranks located at strategic locations. Private hire cars, meanwhile, can be booked by telephone, with a variety of companies on hand to choose from. Some of the more popular taxi firms include: Able Taxis (tel: +44 28 9024 1999), Castle Cabs (tel: +44 28 9024 1111), Dial a Cab (tel: +44 28 9074 1111), Rio Taxis (tel: +44 28 9023 3999) and West Belfast Taxis (tel: +44 28 9031 5777).

Tourist services

Open-topped buses provide a cheap and convenient way of getting to see some of the city’s most popular sights. Buy a one-day ticket and board the bus at Castle Place then get on and off as many times as you wish during the day.

From the airport

From Belfast International Airport, you can reach the city and other destinations by bus, taxi or free hotel shuttle. Alternatively, you could hire a car and make your own way to your onward destination.
