Paros Weather

Paros sits in the middle of the Aegean and enjoys a typical Mediterranean climate; year-round sunny weather and mild winters with little rain. The Cyclades are typically dry islands; they do get windy and can be baking hot during the day but chilly in the evening.

Spring and summer

Spring is perhaps the best time to visit, when the island is less crowded and the heat is mild. The temperature throughout the summer (May to September) averages 25C to 32C, with virtually no rainfall. The north and west sides of the island enjoy a steady breeze, which can become harsh enough that youll need a sweater, even in summer. Risk of sunburn during these months is high. From late August onwards youll need a light jacket for the evenings.

Winter

Winters are mild, but they do get chilly and can be wet, adding to the misery. Mostly the island shuts down from October, when ferries are less frequent and businesses close. This says a lot for the weather during this time, when it is at its coldest during the first three months of the year. Although the island has no really high ground, there are some hills in the centre and crossing these on a hired motorbike can be cold at any time of the year.
