Mykonos has a vast array of accommodation options to suit all needs. Villas, apartments, hotels and studios are dotted around the island. You will need to choose whether you want to stay close to one of the beaches, and therefore travel into town to enjoy the nightlife, or stay in town and travel to the beach. If you’re looking for a slightly more peaceful to stay, it’s best to stay near one of the quieter beaches.

Plastis Yialos is the most popular beach for hotels, closely followed by Agios Ioannis, Megali, Ammos, Ornos and Agios Stefanos. These areas tend to be quieter than the town, or the most famous party beaches: Paradise and Super Paradise.

Airport hotels

Mykonos Town (Hora) itself is only around three miles from the airport, so there are plenty of accommodation options for visitors who want to stay within close proximity. Megali Ammos is the closest beach to the airport and Hora, but it does tend to get busy and there is little in the way of budget accommodation here. Mykonos is a relatively small island and anywhere is within 10 miles of the airport.
