Weather In Kos
Kos is located southeast of the Greek mainland, in the Aegean Sea, just off the Turkish coast. The island is the second largest in the Dodecanese. It enjoys a mild Mediterranean climate, with plenty of sunny days throughout the year. Even during the many months of the low season, the water temperature remains high enough for visitors to swim.
When to visit
As with the other Greek islands, spring and autumn are the best seasons to visit Kos. In summer, it is normally very hot and crowded. In July and August, temperatures up to 40C are not uncommon.
In the winter, from November to February, it can be quite cold at times. These are also the wettest months, so its best to pack a raincoat and a sweater if you plan to visit at this time.
