Corfu Transport
Options for getting around Corfu are fairly limited and unless you want to take taxis everywhere, which would be an expensive experience, you are limited to the island’s public bus service. Fortunately, this has a reputation for being efficient and covers a large part of the island, it’s also very inexpensive. Alternatively, you could hire a car and have the freedom to go where you want, when you want.
By bus
The KTEL (Green Bus) company offers bus services on the island of Corfu, with connections between Kerkyra and a variety of destinations such as Ag, Benitses, Kavos, Sidari, Stefanos and Ipsos. Services are very cheap and generally punctual, and almost all buses are air-conditioned. Visitors not hiring vehicles invariably opt to use the buses for getting around on account of their efficiency and good value for money.

Taxis
The island has over 300 taxis in circulation and these can be hailed in the street or booked by telephone although with so many around, the latter option is often not necessary. Taxi stands can be found at Neo Limani, San Rocco, Spilia and Spianada or you can book ahead by calling: +30 33811 2.
From the airport
From the airport, most visitors will be transported by hotel shuttle; for those who aren’t, the airport bus service is a cheap and reliable ground transfer option, while taxis are more expensive although definitely more convenient.
