Leipzig Weather

Leipzig has a moderate climate, with hot and occasionally humid weather in the summer and cold temperatures in the winter.

Summer

During the height of the summer, in June and July, temperatures can climb to as high as 24°C, with average temperatures of 18°C. This is also the best time to visit Leipzig for the weather; however, these months are also the busiest in terms of visitors, and attractions can get very overcrowded. If you don’t mind a spot of rain, September is a good month to visit as the weather is generally very good and there are not nearly as many visitors, allowing for a much quieter stay.

Winter

Throughout the winter, temperatures regularly drop below zero and are always piercingly cold. Spring usually begins in late March or April, with temperatures reaching as high as 19°C. Autumn usually begins in September and lasts until the end of October, although winter has been know to start early and October occasionally experiences bitterly cold weather.
