Monaco Weather

With its location right the heart of the Mediterranean, Monaco enjoys fantastic weather, with warm temperatures and over 300 days of sunshine each year.

Summer and spring

Summer is the warmest time of the year, with daytime temperatures averaging a pleasant 26°C. July and August are the hottest months, but the constant sea breezes cool things down in the evenings. The rain falls mainly in the cooler winter months, but even so, there are only about 60 days a year that see any precipitation.

Monaco is a great place to visit at any time of year, with its mild climate of sunny days and cool nights. Spring and autumn however are the best seasons to visit in because the weather is simply gorgeous and there aren’t as many tourists taking their traditional summer and winter holidays. Hotels often get fully booked during the peak summer holiday periods, especially the few hotels which are somewhat affordable. Make your reservations well in advance. Springtime brings the winds called ‘le mistral’, which create sparkling blue skies and provide comfortable temperatures around 15°C. The fall season may be even better, if that’s possible. The temperatures hover around the ideal 20°C mark, the skies are clear and the beaches are relatively empty.
