Weather In Le Havre
Situated on the west coast of France, Le Havre has a warm and pleasant climate year-round. It can however get very hot in the middle of the summer with temperatures often reaching 30°C and above. When the weather gets too hot and humid, Le Havre usually experiences thunderstorms and rain showers which clear the air for a day or two. The winter sees mild temperatures and a mix of sunshine and clouds, making it an ideal climate year-round.
The best time to visit
June and September are the best months to visit Le Havre, as both months are free from large crowds. They both offer frequently warm weather and significantly cheaper prices. In addition, June also offers very long daylight hours, allowing more opportunities for sightseeing. If possible, try to avoid visiting Le Havre in the second half of July, as many of the French population take their holidays at this time, meaning that the roads are incredibly congested and the beaches are very busy. Prices in hotels and restaurants also rise at this time due to the high number of visitors.
