Getting to Dijon

The most convenient way to get to Dijon is by TGV high-speed train, if coming from another city in France. Flying to Dijon Burgundy Airport is also possible. There are scheduled domestic flights and chartered flights connecting Dijon with other destinations in Europe. Roads are in good condition and the city is well-connected to freeway and highway networks.

By air

Dijon Burgundy Airport is about 20 minutes drive from the city centre. The airport is small but modern with good facilities for passengers. There are several domestic flights flying to and from major French destinations each day, while chartered flights connect the city with European cities and North America. Ryan Air will begin operating flights between Dijon and London in 2007.

By rail

TGV high-speed trains make the trip from Paris to Dijon. The journey takes about 90 minutes. TGV trains also connect Dijon to Roissy Charles de Gaulle Airport, Lille, Lyon and destinations in Italy.

By car

Driving into Dijon is possible but is not recommended. Parking spaces are limited in the city. Chances are you might have to park your car at your hotel for the duration of your stay. However, if you wish to drive, Dijon is well-connected to freeway and highways networks. From Paris, take the A6 and then A38 to Dijon. The trip should take about 2 hours, 45 minutes depending on traffic. You can take the A26, A5 and then the A31 from Calais through Lille and Reimes, with the journey taking about 3 hours.
