Getting Around In Corsica

Public transport is erratic and scattered in Corsica, with several bus operators competing with each other. Train service is worthwhile for the unique views of both Corsica and the railways aesthetic engineering along the way. However, car hire is the ideal way to get around and see Corsica.

By train

Corsica's little train, the Trinighellu, chugs its way through the mountains from Ajaccio to Bastia on the Corse line and on a spur running northwest to Calvi. The scenic route through the centre of the island covers stunning scenery, otherwise unseen by road travellers. Stops along the way are also near marked hiking and walking trails, offering a refreshing step into nature between towns.
