Calais Weather
Calais, on Frances northern coast in the region called Pas-de-Calais, has a climate similar to southeastern England. The area around Calais is noted for clean beaches, rolling countryside, lovely wooded areas and scenic river valleys.
The current in the North Atlantic brings warm water to this coastal area, and protects the region from periods of severe cold. Januarys average temperature is 2.8C, while the average in July is 18.5C.
When to visit
The areas temperate climate sees temperatures of around 16C in May. With warm and sunny summers, most visitors are drawn to the area in July and August. Temperatures in July and August can reach 25C. However, whatever time of the year you visit, it is wise to bring a rain coat and a sweater as chilly Atlantic breezes and showers can strike at any time.
