There have been a number of car burglaries reported recently in Calais, so using a secure car park such as the one next to the station is a good idea to prevent this happening to you.

Visitors to Calais are not subject to any particular health risks, and all EU citizens are covered for medical treatment at public hospitals. With the European Health Insurance Card, treatment is free or provided at a reduced cost. However, there are some treatments and services that are not always covered, including outpatient treatment and prescriptions. It is also important to remember that many clinics and hospitals are privately run.
