Weather In Brest
Brest sits on the very western edge of Brittany, France and like the rest of this province, it enjoys a relatively mild year-round climate. In general, Brittany does not experience much variation throughout the year in temperature or rainfall. As Brest is a coastal town, it rains more frequently than locations farther inland, but this rain is usually not too heavy or prolonged. However, the weather is known to change quickly throughout the day, so be prepared for anything.
Cool maritime climate
Thanks to its location along the sea, the summers in Brest are warm, but not scorching. Average temperatures during the summer run around 20C, but they can sometimes get hotter. June, July and August are the peak season in Brest, especially for painters who come to take advantage of the special light of this area. During the winter, the temperature rarely drops below freezing, averaging around 7C.
