Brest and Brittany in general is full of quaint and personal family-run hotels, which add to the overall welcoming atmosphere of this part of France. There are also a number of luxury hotels and chateaux, both in town and in the immediate outskirts. The cost of accommodation ranges widely, from cheap, bland concrete boxes to lovely but pricey restored mansions. Some of the best places to stay are the friendly family-run hotels. If you come here in the summer, expect to share the sites around Brest with large crowds of visitors. Hotels are usually booked up, so make your reservations well in advance.
