Biarritz Transport
Options for getting around Biarritz are very limited and visitors can choose between public bus services or taxis, depending on their requirements. Alternatively, you may wish to hire a car and have the advantage of being able to come and go as you please. Driving conditions are generally good in the city.
By bus
Public bus services provide transportation around the city, with many services beginning from or concluding at the Town Hall. Tickets can be purchased on board and are relatively cheap.
Taxis
Taxis are readily available across the city and are provided by individual taxi owners and private hire companies. Fares are metered and charged by the kilometre; surcharges may be levied for late night services and extra passengers. Local companies operating include Atlantic Taxi Radio (tel: +33 5 5903 1818); Agur Biarritz Taxi (tel: +33 5 5941 0000); and Taxi-Mat (tel: +33 6 8566 6217).
From the airport
From the airport, you can take the shuttle bus to the town centre and destinations between such as Anglet. Alternatively, you can take a taxi or arrange vehicle rental and make your own way to your hotel.
