Restaurants In Antibes
Antibes has lots of great places to eat, from small cafés in the old town to scenic seaside restaurants around the port. Juan les Pins and Cap d’Antibes also have a number of places to eat. Prices tend to be on the expensive side, but the food is exquisite and as fresh as can be.
Local cuisine
The cuisine along the coast tends to follow standard French fare, with local specialties focusing on the amazingly fresh seafood and produce from nearby Provence. In general, the restaurants in Antibes stick to traditional dishes; however, there are a few inventive places that have interesting fusion cuisine. Though there’s no particular dish which this town is famous for, you can bet that any seafood dish you order will be fresh and well prepared. Niçoise salad and simple fish soup are two popular dishes you will find almost everywhere.

Absinthe
One of the truly interesting things you can try in Antibes is a drink of Absinthe. This mysterious green liqueur, best associated with the avant-garde, 19th century writers and artists such as Baudelaire and Van Gogh, was outlawed for years because of the supposed health risks. Recently, it has embarked on a comeback and is now somewhat en vogue. You can try one of the many varieties of Absinthe at the Absinthe Bar La Balade near the covered market of Antibes.
