Annecy Entertainment
Annecy offers a sedate but rewarding night scene. A warm selection of restaurants and bars provide quiet nesting spots from where to people watch or meet other travellers.
Nightlife
Although Annecy is much more about late night dining and a bottle of wine by the lake, you’ll find the many annual festivals bring in lots of tourists and change the face of the city. While you’ll receive the best service if you speak French, the town sees so many tourists that it’s reasonably friendly everywhere, regardless of what language you speak.
During the more sedate times of year, there are plenty of cafés, bars and pubs where you can hang your hat for the evening. In the warmer months, you’ll want to spend time outdoors at the carnivals, street fairs and outdoor dances. The Irish Pub is always a favourite among the younger set. Older folk can find some peace and quite at Le Duo, a piano bar. There are a lot of gay-friendly nightspots as well.
