Paphos Transport
Paphos has an efficient public transportation system that is well complemented by a variety of taxi services. However, many of the main attractions are within walking distance, so you only need vehicles to access destinations outside the city or to escape the summer heat.
By bus
Local buses run routes between all popular destinations within and outside Paphos. Operated by Alepa, the schedule is regular and reliable, except during popular festivals. Fares are extremely reasonable. The main bus station for local trips is located on the corner of Athinas and Thermopylon streets in the Ktima district.

Taxis
There are numerous taxis in Paphos, made up of fleets of licensed, unlicensed and shared cabs. As rates are not fixed, negotiating the fare before you get into a taxi is a must; otherwise you run the risk of being ripped off. Interestingly, unlicensed taxis are generally the cheapest and on a par with the licensed versions. Shared taxis operate like shuttles.
Tourist services
Paphos has very helpful tourist information staff that can arrange all kinds of enthralling guided tours and activities, not only in Paphos, but in the west coast region as a whole. Tourist information offices are located at Gladstonos and Posidonos avenue.
From the airport
Paphos International Airport has regular shuttles that depart soon after scheduled arrivals, and most charter flights have private minibuses meet them to take passengers directly to their lodgings. There are plenty of taxis on standby immediately outside Arrivals. Reputable international car rental companies such as Europcar and Hertz have representatives and small fleets at the airport.
