Montego Bay Weather

Montego Bay enjoys an idyllic climate because of its location near the sea, with cool winds and breezes coming in off the water. The mountains also play a part in cooling down the area.

Mild winters

This is the peak time for travellers to flock to the islands, as the temperature averages at an agreeable 27C. It does not rain much from December to March, making perfect weather conditions for sunbathing and other outdoor activities.

Summers

Summers can be relatively hot although there are cool breezes that blow in, keeping the humidity down. The temperature can rise to about 30C and visitors are recommended to take care that they dont get sunburnt.

Rainy season
There are two rainy seasons annually, from May to June and September to November. There are heavy showers during these periods, making them less than ideal times to visit the island, as it often rains for hours, stopping for a while before the downpours resume.
