Be Safe in Perth
Perth is widely considered one of the safest and friendliest cities in Australia. The relaxed mood of its residents helps keep things fun and light-hearted. In truth, you shouldn’t experience any troubles at all during your visit here.
Safety
With great weather, stunning scenery and a laid-back lifestyle, it’s unlikely you’ll run into much trouble in Perth. However, as in every large city, there are always a few thieves lurking about for easy prey. Be careful when you go to the beach and don’t leave your belongings unattended. A bit of inexpensive travel insurance is the best way to ensure any misfortune doesn’t ruin your holiday.

Health
There are no serious health risks in Perth which should cause you concern. The quality of the tap water is safe to drink, but it’s always advisable to stick to bottled water, as your stomach may not be used to the difference in microbes. The food in Perth’s restaurants is typically up to international standards, but make sure your seafood has been thoroughly cooked.
The sun in Perth is very strong, so always wear sunscreen and a hat when you head out; sunburn can quickly ruin your vacation. Also, drink plenty of water when you’re walking around the city, as it’s quite easy to get dehydrated.
If anything does happen during your visit, there are excellent medical facilities right in Perth. All medical staff and doctors speak English and can assist you with any problems. Visitors from other countries should get some travel insurance to cover any unexpected hospital costs. The price of travel insurance is very small when compared to an Australian medical bill.
