Restaurants are available in every category and price range in Canberra, with eateries ranging from inexpensive fast food joints right up to fine international dining. In general, prices are good and there is always somewhere to eat wherever you are in the city. Alfresco dining in Canberra is very popular and many cafs in the town centre offer this option as well as places in the Manuka and Kingston districts.

The pedestrian mall around Garema Place in the city centre has many dining options, while Alinga Street, Commonwealth Avenue, West Row and the London Circuit are also recommended. For Asian food, head for Woolley Street in the Dickson area of Canberra, and for gourmet, try Manuka and Kingston districts.
