Skydiving
For the more adventurous, skydiving has become incredibly popular in Adelaide. There are numerous clubs offering training and dives. Visit the Adelaide Hills where you can trek along nature trails and enjoy the stunning scenery as well as visiting historical villages. There are wineries dotted across the hills and beautiful orchards which can be visited. The hills are also a great place to take the family, as Cleland Wildlife Park is located here. This park is home to a huge range of animals that are native to this part of Australia.
Shopping
Adelaide offers an abundance of shopping opportunities, with most of the shops located in the city centre. You will find numerous shopping centres where you can splash out in hundreds of shops and enjoy a blast of air-conditioning.
Adelaide is home to the largest produce market in the southern hemisphere, which is well worth the visit. Located between Gouger and Grote streets, the Central Market is an experience you won’t be able to repeat.
Adelaide lies at the centre of the world’s opal industry and is a hub for stones, which are mined in many of the South Australian desert towns. Opals are great value here and can be found all across the city.
For those who like to indulge in a glass or two of wine, South Australia produces most of Australia’s wine and the very best is available for purchase from the many wine cellars located across the city.
