There are no specific vaccinations required for travel to Australia. You should ensure, though, that your routine vaccinations such as tetanus and polio are up-to-date.
One of the major causes of illness in Australia is the sun. Common illnesses include sunstroke, sunburn and dehydration. Try to avoid being out in the sun in the heat of the day and always wear sunscreen. Drink plenty of fluids throughout the day and seek medical advice if you are unwell for more than three days.
If you are partaking in water or extreme sports, always follow safety precautions, as instructed.
