Koh Samui Weather

The weather on Samui is roughly split into two main seasons: dry and wet. The dry season usually runs in tandem with the European late winter to early summer, and the rain normally arrives around November and flows intermittently until February. Visitors shouldnt be put off making a trip to Samui in the rainy season, as there are still lots of blue skies and sunshine to be enjoyed during this season.

Dry season

The best time of year to visit Koh Samui is during the dry season from February to late June. This is a particularly pleasant time as you will avoid the boisterous island showers, which can be pretty frenetic affairs and can put a dent in your sunbathing plans. From around March through October, temperatures regularly reach 35C.

Rainy season

The rainy season is from November to February and temperatures during this time are around 25C. Despite the odd shower here and there, theres still plenty of beach weather. From July to October, it sometimes rains off and on, but is still pleasant as the sun pokes through and rainbows are often seen. September and October can be nice times to visit as crowds and prices tend to decrease.
