From November to February, Koh Samui gets very full, and although there are plenty of hotels, guesthouses, bungalows and resorts that cater for all budgets, advanced booking is recommended. Most tourists head for the accommodation located around the main beach areas of Chaweng and Lamai, but there is also accommodation available in other more remote and quieter areas which is cheaper and more in touch with the real island.
