Bangkok Airport Hotels

Bangkok has a plethora of accommodation in every price bracket; there are many budget guesthouses, an abundance of mid-range hotels and several luxury hotels to be found almost everywhere within the city, but it is worth noting that day room facilities for transit passengers are available on the fourth floor at the airport. Also, above the underground rail link station and in front of the passenger terminal building, is the 600-room hotel operated by Accor Group under the Novotel brand.

Which hotel?

Novotel Suvarnabhumi Airport Hotel (tel: +66 2 131 1111) is connected to the main airport terminal by a pedestrian bridge, and is only a 5-minute walk from the terminal. Twenty five kilometres from the city centre, it has  612 bedrooms and six conference rooms, capable of accommodating up to 800 delegates. Alternatively, the Grand Inn Come Hotel (tel: +66 2 738 8191-3) is just a 15 to 20 minute drive from the airport.

Where to stay

When choosing accommodation, pay careful attention to Skytrain and Metro access, as a well-placed station will make your stay in Bangkok much more comfortable. The areas around Siam Square and Ploenchit road provide all the access you need to the big city. In a quiet enclave opposite Siam Square stands the elegant low-rise modern Thai building that is the Siam InterContinental.

The areas around the Chao Phraya River, Silom road and Suriwong road encompass some of the older sections of Bangkok, while all the rooms of the Amari Boulevard in the Sukhumvit road area have nice views of the Bangkok skyline.
