Osaka Weather
Osakas climate is temperate, with hot summers and quite a lot of rain. The rainy season, from June to early July; and typhoon season, from September to early October, are the wettest, while there is less rain during the winter.
Summers are noticeably hot (up to 36C) and humid, while winters are normally dry. You may find that you need a heavy coat during winter, although it is rarely freezing. Snow is scarce, generally only falling occasionally in January or February.
If you wish to catch hanami (cherry blossom), the best time to visit the city is April through to May; however, note that accommodation must be booked well in advance since this is also a popular time for Japanese tourists to visit. If you wish to see the leaves changing colour, October to November is the most suitable time to visit.
