Bangalore Weather
Located in the southern part of the state of Karnataka in South India, Bangalore enjoys a location on top of a ridge in the Karnataka plateau. The climate is generally equable, with mild weather during summer and cool weather during winter. South-western monsoon rains affect the city from June to August.
Sunny summer, mild winter
Summer falls between April and June, with an average temperature of 27C. It can get quite hot in the summer, but the temperature during the day rarely exceeds 34C. People wear summer clothes, but skimpy dresses are still not acceptable. October to February are the winter months, with January being the coldest month, when the temperature drops to 20C in the daytime and about 15C at night. Even in winter, the weather is not too cold; a light sweater will keep you warm when you want to take a walk around the city at night.
Visitors flock to Bangalore year-round. In the winter, early in the morning, you should walk outside to see beautiful foggy skies. But, if you are here during the summertime, you can see clear blue skies with big fluffy clouds floating overhead. The high season however, falls from June to September, when the weather at its most pleasant.
