Hong Kong Airport Parking

Hong Kong International Airport has good parking options, with both short-term and long-term parking available near the terminal building. There are spaces available in all car parks that are reserved for those with special needs, which are normally located closest to the terminal, while there is also a pick-up, drop-off area right outside the terminal building, also known as the 'departures kerb'.

Short-term parking

Car parks 1, 2 and 4 all offer short-term car parking at Chep Lap Kok Airport, with the multi-storey Car Park 4 also having long-term parking options. It is free to park for the first 30 minutes in all car parks, from where hourly rates are levied thereafter. Car Park 3 is only used as an overflow facility.

Long-term parking

Long-term parking is available in car parks 1 and 4 at Hong Kong International Airport and parking fees are charged daily or weekly. Car Park 1 is open-air, while Car Park 4 is a multi-storey facility with better security.

Parking spaces may be booked ahead of time at Chep Lap Kok Airport via the internet and many people make good use of this service when planning on staying long-term. You can also turn up at the airport and park on demand of course, although if all of the long-term spaces are gone, you will end up with a huge parking bill if you use the short-term spaces for long-term parking or even worse, you will have nowhere to park.

Booking airport parking online through Essential Travel gives you a wide choice of car parks. Your holiday to Hong Kong could be off to a bad start if the car park is not suitable. As well as saving money by pre-booking you are also guaranteed a space.

On airport parking is usually a bit more expensive as they are normally closer to the terminal. This means that transfer times would be shorter. The off airport car park will have a reception office and staff will be able to help with any questions. Both of these types of car parks run shuttle transfers on a regular basis.

The other type of car park is a Meet and Greet service. This means that you are met at the departure terminal by a representative who will transfer your car to the car park whilst you go to catch your flight. When you return from your trip your car is returned to you at the terminal.

Essential Travel can offer all these parking alternatives through the online booking system. When looking for a quote, click on the information links and find out which car park is best for you. This will provide all you need to know about where the car park is situated, frequency of transfers and how far it is from the terminal.
