Casablanca Leisure

Casablanca is the best place in Morocco to see football. The city's rival teams, RAJA and WYDAD, both play in the Beausejour district. You can check the local newspapers for listings. The city also boasts a racecourse called the Hippodrome, located at Anfa, with race meetings held on Sundays, on a somewhat irregular schedule. Adjacent to the racecourse is a nine-hole golf course, and at Mohammedia, to the northeast, there is an 18-hole course.

If you’re interested in swimming, there are beach clubs on the cornice or you can swim at Aïn Sebaa, at the open-air Piscine Oceanic. If you’re travelling with children, the Sinbad amusement park is located just beyond the hotels along the cornice, with plenty of facilities to keep everyone entertained.

Golf

Moroccans are becoming increasingly passionate about golf, and this is reflected in the rapid development of superb facilities set in a variety of beautiful landscapes. There are major national and international competitions held here, attracting golfers from all corners of the world. The most famous event is the Hassan II Trophy, which is held on the famous Red Course at Rabat’s Royal Dar-Es-Salaam Golf Club, rated among the world’s most spectacular golf courses. Including Casablanca, there are 14 courses in Morocco, and the number rises every year.
