These features are very useful for adventurous Skiing , Ski Touring and Mountaineering. The flagship model in the Suunto range is the Suunto Core. Priced from £179, this model provides accurate data on weather conditions, altitude and has an electronic compass. By constantly measuring the barometric pressure this watch can also warn of approaching storms, even before they are visible.

Altitude: Current altitude is shown, alongside data on ascent / descent rates and cumulative altitude logs.
Compass: Electronic Compass shows current bearing.
Barometer: The barometer measures pressure changes and can warn of quick drops in pressure (Storm alarm)
Time features: Current Time, Date, Alarm and dual time feature. Choice of 7 watch colours / strap combinations.

There is also a womens version of this watch, called the Suunto Lumi. This has a smaller face and less bulky styling.
