It can be reached by means of car, bus, train or plane. Undoubtedly the quickest and easiest means of transportation from the UK to the resort is a plane flight to Graz (approximately 40kms away in Austria) followed by a car or bus journey.Driving to Slovenia from the UK is not an extremely advisable option, unless you have plenty of time on your hands. The first leg of the trip consists of getting your vehicle across the English Channel to Europe– by car ferry or the Chunnel train service to France. You can reach Slovenia via one of the border crossings with Italy, Austria, Hungary or Croatia. The country’s highways are good and clearly signposted, and there are numerous rest stops, inns with overnight accommodation, and motels. To reach Mariborsko from the capital city of Llubljana, take the E59 highway. Train travel in Europe is affordable and efficient, and a good alternative to flying if you are on a budget. From the UK, the Eurostar leaves daily from Waterloo station, reaching Paris in just a few hours. From France you have the option of various routes into Slovenia - you can enter the country on direct lines from Italy, Austria, Hungary, Croatia, Yugoslavia and Macedonia. There is an express train between Llubljana and Maribor, from where you will need to take a bus, or hire a car, to access the resort. Flying to Slovenia is by far the most convenient means of reaching the country. To get to Mariborsko, you have the option of either flying into Graz, approximately 40kms away in Austria, or Llubljana, 115kms away. To reach the resort you can take an express train from Llubljana, or complete the journey from either destination by road. Slovenia can be also be accessed by cross-continental buses, but across such long distances bus transportation is extremely uncomfortable, and this option is not recommended unless you are on an extremely tight budget.
