In addition to the ski slopes, a plethora of alternative entertainment options including soccer, basketball, fishing, paintball and archery are available at the resort. A restaurant, coffee shop and snack bar provide refreshments within the resort, but for après-ski, visitors should head to the city. Starhill (Chonmasan) resort is located a short distance from Seoul resort and offers additional ski slopes and facilities, while the city of Seoul encompasses an endless range of attractions, including an array of stately palaces and fascinating museums, to keep visitors amused during off-slope hours. The winter season at Seoul resort extends from early December to late February. This is subject to slight changes depending on weather conditions. The ski resort is accessible by bus or car from Seoul city. Transportation to the resort takes between 30 and 40 minutes, depending on road and weather conditions. Skiing in SeoulLocated on majestic Mount Paekpongsan, Seoul ski resort is an easy 30-minute drive from the city, making it an ideal skiing spot for residents of Seoul and visitors who don’t have much time to travel long distances. The ski resort is located close to the Seoul-Chuncheon national road, which is known for its superb scenic beauty.Skiing in Seoul is offered on four different runs, which are mostly appropriate for advanced to intermediate skiers. Dining options are limited to the onsite restaurant, snack bar and coffee shop, while Seoul city has hundreds of tempting eateries to choose from. For those wanting to stay overnight at the resort, there is a small, family-friendly hotel with roughly 70 rooms. Another option is to return to the city after skiing and stay at one of Seoul city’s prolific hotels, guesthouses or bed and breakfasts. Both skiing tuition and equipment rental are available at Seoul ski resort. Skiing is offered at the resort from early December to late February, with best conditions during January. Seoul Resort is accessible via car or bus from Seoul city. Transportation to Seoul resortSeoul ski resort is situated approximately 30 to 40 minutes southeast of Seoul city via road transportation. The resort is located on Mount Paekpongsan, close to the Seoul-Chuncheon road.Car travel is by far the most convenient method of reaching the resort, taking roughly 30 minutes along the stunningly scenic Seoul-Chuncheon road. The closest airport is Seoul’s Incheon International Airport, located approximately 32 miles southeast of the city centre. Visitors arriving from other parts of Korea may also touch down at Gimpo Airport, the city’s domestic air transportation hub. Taxis, buses and shuttle buses offer transportation from both airports to various destinations across Seoul. Buses run to the resort from Seoul Cheongnyangni and Gangbyeon rail stations. From Seoul Cheongnyangni, you can take City Express bus Nos. 9205, 9201, 330-1, 1330, 1330-1 or City Bus Nos. 2227, 167-2, 165 to Seoul ski resort. Alternatively, you can take City Express bus Nos. 1115 or 9202 from Jamsil or Gangbyeon stations to the ski resort.
