Skiing is usually offered at Hyundai Sungwoo between November and March, but the season is subject to changes depending on weather conditions. From Seoul, the resort can be reached by car or shuttle bus, with a journey time of 2 hours. Transportation to Hyundai SungwooHyundai Sungwoo is located in the area of Dunnae-myeon, Hwoingseong-gun, in Gangwon Province, and the journey to the resort takes roughly 2 hours via road transportation, depending on traffic and weather conditions. Shuttle buses run regularly from Seoul to the resort or alternatively visitors can hire a car in the city and drive themselves to resort.Self-drive is the easiest and most convenient way to reach Hyundai Sungwoo and there are plenty of car rental agencies in Seoul. The quickest road route to the resort is via the Yeongdong highway. Seoul’s Incheon International Airport is the closest international air transportation hub to Hyundai Sungwoo and is located roughly 10 miles from the city centre. Visitors arriving in Korea from foreign destinations are likely to touch down here, while those visiting from other parts of the country may land at Seoul’s Gimpo Domestic Airport. Taxi, bus and shuttle buses are available from both airports, offering transportation to destinations across Seoul, including departure points for Hyundai Sungwoo. Taxis and shuttle buses depart from opposite the Kangwon-do Wonju Express Bus Terminal, located at Wonju local public office, providing direct transportation to the ski resort. Alternatively, take subway line 2 to Jamsil Station and then a non-stop bus to Hyundai Sungwoo from the back entrance of the Lotte Hotel Jamsil. Buses leave from Jamsil at 09:30 from Sunday to Friday and at 14:00 on Saturdays; advance booking is recommended.
