Rounders

Rounders is a popular sport in Great Britain and in Ireland. A sport with a lot of similarities to baseball or softball, it can be a fun and amusing activity to engage in when visiting these places as it gives you a feel of the local sport and culture. However, playing rounders can result in injuries. It is best to bring your travel insurance with you when engaging in this sport.

You may get injured while playing rounders when you twist your arm, get hit by the ball, or fall or slide. The most common injuries are shoulder tendinitis, bursitis, impingement syndrome, torn rotator cuff, frozen shoulder, shoulder separation, medial epicondylitis, bursitis of the elbow, wrist sprains, finger fractures, back strains and sprains, herniated disks, interior cruciate ligament and posterior cruciate ligament injuries, medial collateral ligament and lateral collateral ligament injuries, torn knee cartilage meniscus injuries, chondromalacia, knee tendonitis, and ruptured tendons. While these injuries may seem minor compared to injuries caused by other sports, they can still render you disabled (at least temporarily). You may also need ambulatory services, hospitalisation, and even surgery when you get hurt playing rounders. All these may be expensive if you do not have sports travel insurance.

Rounders is considered a Grade 1 risk sport. Obtain some form of travel insurance if you want to be sure. When you have sports travel insurance, you do not have to worry about expensive medical bills should you get hospitalised.
