Miley Cryus is supporting the initiative
Birthday bonus at Disney World
25 September 2008Holidaymakers enjoying a birthday break in America next year can celebrate their big day for free at Walt Disney World Florida.
From 2009, anyone visiting the park on their birthday will be presented with a free ticket once they have shown a valid form of identification, according to Fox News.
Jay Rasulo, chairman of Walt Disney Parks and Resorts, said that he hoped visitors would make the most of the opportunity.
"Our goal is to mark the special moments in your life in a way that your family will remember forever," he added.
The scheme already has the backing of Hannah Montana star Miley Cyrus who now plans to celebrate her 16th birthday at Disney World.
Meanwhile, those who have already bought a ticket for their birthday can claim another pass for next year, get a "fastpass" for up to six people or spend the ticket equivalent on merchandise.
Other major attractions in Florida include Universal Studios, SeaWorld Orlando and Busch Gardens.
