Luxury awaits A380 passengers

Dubai-based airline Emirates has announced that it will offer passengers a range of luxury amenities aboard its new Airbus A380 planes, according to reports.

First class passengers will be able to enjoy in-flight showers a fully-equipped bar, private suites and an advanced in-flight entertainment system as Emirates strives to market the A380 as a "premium hotel in the sky".

Business class passengers will have fully-flat seats that are positioned to ensure that all customers have aisle access and areas for stowing items such as laptops while economy travellers will have in-flight entertainment and gourmet menus.

The A380, which is the world''s largest passenger airliner, will operate Emirates busiest routes to New York, London Heathrow, Auckland and Sydney.

Emirates unveiled the a giant replica of the Airbus A380 outside of Heathrow airport which flew into the record books as the world''s largest model plane.

Emirates received its A380 aircraft, one of a total of 58 on order, at a ceremony in Hamburg on July 28th.
