Passengers injured after emergency landing in Canada

Ten air passengers were reported to be injured following an emergency landing at Calgary international airport.

Medical assistance crews rushed to the airport on the morning of January 10th as a flight was forced to make an unscheduled stop in the city, according to the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation.

Some passengers were reported to be seriously injured and may require medical care, a cost that will be covered by the individuals' travel insurance.

Bryce Paton, of the Calgary Airport Authority, said: "We understand there are no life-threatening injuries."

Passenger lists from the Airbus A319 flight, which was bound for Toronto from Victoria, indicate that there were 83 passengers onboard, as well as five crew members.

There were no signs of external damage to the plane as it rested on the tarmac at Calgary airport. The jet reportedly encountered turbulence during its flight, which may have been the cause of some of the passenger injuries.ADNFCR-1337-ID-18422385-ADNFCR
