Essential Travel Warns Holiday-Makers Of 'Hidden Charges'
27 July 2010Research conducted by EssentialTravel.co.uk has revealed that 'hidden charges' could add an extra 25% or more to the cost of airport parking.
As of 26 July 2010, EssentialTravel.co.uk reduced booking costs and cancellation fees, in an effort to help customers save money, as the summer holiday peak approaches.
"Holidaymakers have grown wise to the 'hidden costs' involved in booking flights with many low-cost airlines and are becoming experts on how to avoid them, but most don't apply the same tactics to booking their airport parking," says Stuart Bensusan, EssentialTravel.co.uk.
As a consequence, the company has scrapped its 2% credit card fee completely and reduced the cancellation waiver from £0.99 to £0.50.
Instead of £9.50 for cancellations, customers now forfeit £5.00 for cancellations made without paying the cancellation waiver. The company has also opted to reduce the cancellation notice period from 48 hours before arrival to 12 hours.
