Netball

Netball is a great new sport to try during vacation. Originally designed as a woman's game, this sport is now open for all genders and age groups, so it can be enjoyed by the whole family. It's also a good way to get in shape and meet new people, especially if you're vacationing in a foreign city. Netball is fairly easy to learn and relatively safe, although it still carries a few risks. If you want to try your hand at netball over the break, consider getting your travel insurance beforehand.

Netball is a non-contact sport, so the risk of impact injuries is lower than similar sports like basketball. Common netball injuries include muscle pulls, sprains, strains, and occasional fractures and dislocations. When playing indoors, slippery floors and improper footwear can also cause falls. While such injuries are easy to treat, they can take time to heal and affect your game. Treatments can also cost you a lot, especially if you are not covered by insurance.

If you're interested in playing netball during your trip, find out if there are good netball facilities in your destination. Consider taking a beginner course if you're new to the sport to reduce your chances of injury. If possible, play within your own skill level so that you can learn at a comfortable pace.

Netballs is a Grade 1 risk sport, which means it is relatively low-risk. Still, accidents cannot be prevented and it's best to have proper insurance to make sure you'll be covered.
