Getting there

Rimini-San Marino International Airport is nearby and offers flights from all major cities in Italy as well as some in other European countries. By car, Rimini can be accessed via the A1. There are also good train connections with Bologna and other major cities.

A key landmark of Rimini is the famous Augustus Arch, which marks the entrance to the ancient Roman city that once stood here. The colossal arch welcomed visitors to the city while at the same time warning those opposed to Roman power. It was constructed in 27 BC and is the oldest monument in Rimini.

Nearby is another famous sight, the Malatesta Temple, featuring a decadent Gothic interior. The detailed heraldic symbols and inscriptions provide a pleasing contrast to the buildings plain white marble exterior. Weather in Rimini

Rimini is a very popular holiday destination and in July/August when the temperatures reach 30C the beaches become very crowded. In May or June the weather is still hot but the beaches are less busy. In winter, the weather is grey and cold and temperatures will only get up to 10C.
