Travel to Kusadasi

Kusadasi was once an unspoilt community of fishermen and farmers, but today is plagued by tourists and cruise ships. Fortunately, the area around the city limits features some splendid coastline and the famed ruins of Ephesus are also nearby

Information on Kusadasi key attractions

Kusadasi has an unimpressive beach, however, the waterfront promenade makes for a great sunset stroll. Ladies Beach, a topless beach, is located 3.5kms south of town. Acting as a buffer between the Greek island of Samos and the Turkish mainland, Dilek National Park offers some isolated beaches with pine trees. Perhaps the main attraction of a trip to Kusadasi is a journey to the nearby ruins of Ephesus. Other significant ancient sites in the area include: Miletus, Priene, and Didyma.

Out and about

if you’re already visiting Ephesus, you can stop at Selçuk, three kilometres away. The village offers a beautiful stretch of beach just minutes to the west. Also here, the Ephesus Museum (Efes Müzesi) houses a wealth of archaeological findings and is one of the most important museums in the nation. Also not too far away, the spa town of Pamukkale is home to cloudy white mountainside and mineral-rich waters.

Leisure options

Kusadasis nightlife is concentrated in the old town centre, which contains more Irish pubs than some cities in Ireland. Additionally, you can take in a Turkish Night folklore show at Club Caravanserail, among other places. The performance is filled with folkloric dances from various regions, belly dancing and a spoon drummer.

Safety

visitors should remain alert for potential dangers when travelling to an unfamiliar country. Holidaymakers are more susceptible to pickpocketing, theft or loss of personal effects. Language barriers and new routines can also result in missed travel arrangements or problematic bookings. While visiting Kusadasi, we strongly recommend you take out travel insurance for you or your family.

Weather in Kusadasi

Kusadasi has a classic meditrranean climate, with mild winters and scorching summers. You can expect around 300 days of sunshine during the year.
