Traveling to a different place can make you want to try something new, different, and extreme, such as bungee jumping. Leaping from a bridge or tower several hundred feet high is enough to give any thrill seeker (or even just an averagely curious person) a quick but extremely satisfying fix.
As exciting as it may sound, however, the risks involved in bungee jumping are VERY serious. In the unfortunate event that you incur injuries in the head, trunk, and lower extremities while bungee jumping, you will want to have a sports travel insurance to take care of your medical bills.
Various possible injuries can happen during a jump. If your equipment fails or if you get en entangled by the rope, for example, you may sustain eye trauma, bruises, rope burn, pinched fingers, dislocations, back injury, uterine prolapse, intraocular hemorrhages, near hanging, neural injuries, peroneal nerve injuries, quadriplegia, and head injuries, among many others.
Keep in mind that you should only go bungee jumping when there is a licensed professional to check your equipment, make sure you are strapped correctly, and prepare you for the jump. Bungee jumping is considered a Grade 1 risk sport, so it never hurts to be fully prepared. When planning to bungee jump on a holiday or weekend trip, it is ideal to get yourself a travel insurance.
